Turnips

Hakurei turnips are small, crisp and delicious. Unlike other turnip types these little gems don't need to be cooked. You can eat them raw, they are amazing pickled, or grill, roast or sauté them to bring out their natural sugars. Oh, and please don't forget to use the greens!

Recipes
some are our own and some are others that we love.

Grill Tips

  • Slice turnips in half and leave greens attached.

  • Marinate for at least an hour.

  • Get grill hot, around 400-450 degrees.

  • Watch video for more tips!

Roasting

  • Cut turnips in half and place cut side down.

  • Always roast at 425 degrees or higher. This caramelizes the turnips and brings out the natural sugars.
